Tammie has gained years of experience ever since she began her career in 1987. After devoting her time to a few companies, Tammie decided to open Tammie Pereira Insurance Services, Inc
in 1999 where her expertise has become invaluable to her entire staff. Not only does she offer all types of insurance, but she has also expanded her services to include DMV services.
She is also a key player and very involved in her community. Tammie serves on various boards such as Bay Area Gardeners Association/Foundation, Kiwanis, Latino Leadership Council, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Sabor del Valle and North Fair Oaks Queen of the Festival. She currently focuses her attention as a board member of Casa Circulo Cultural, a cultural center in Redwood City and Community Impact Scholarship Program which partners with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s office. Tammie is also the chair of the National Association for Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) for 2019, Silicon Valley. Her greatest joy is spending time with her husband and 3 children with the newest addition to her family her daughter-in-law and her brand new grandchild. On her free time, Tammie loves to travel. Her most recent trip was to Cuba and she loved it immensely.
Vivianne “Nabila” Alvarez, Office Manager
Meet “Nabila” she is the Office Manager. Her responsibilities include encompassing many aspects of our business, including payroll, billing, sales, and most of all, customer service. Her incredible organization skills help keep our team running smoothly. Nabila graduated from Redwood High School in Redwood City, CA.
On her free time she loves being with her family and her 3 boys. She is highly involved with her children’s education at Nativity Catholic School in Menlo Park as well as Pop Warner RC 49’ers football games.
Ana Coronado, Receptionist/Staff Support
Ana is our receptionist and staff support. You’ll always find a friendly face when greeted in our office by Ana. Her responsibilities include welcoming new/existing clients. She takes pride in answering the telephone, taking payments, making sure your correspondence/emails are taken care of in a timely manner. Ana was born in Jalisco, Mexico and lives in San Mateo with her husband and 2 boys. She graduated from Escuela Secundaria in San Jose de Gracia, Jalisco and continues to learn English as her second language. She is active in her church at St. Timothy’s and enjoys watching her boys play soccer and baseball. Her oldest son takes guitar lessons from Circulo Cultural, a Cultural Center in Redwood City where Tammie is highly involved and donates a lot of her time. Ana loves getting together with her family and is one of eleven kids. By the way, we insure ALL of them!

Chester provides his marketing experience and develops strategic marketing plans to better serve the Tammie Pereira Insurance (TPI) existing clients and new customers. He has developed a one-stop shop business model for TPI which will grow the business by providing insurance, real estate, and home loans by licensed professionals all in one location. He taps into his past experience as a building contractor assisting clients with compliance with the California Contractors Licensing Board concurrently offering assistance with obtaining a license. Chester believes in giving back to the community by helping nonprofits increase their capacity to serve the greater good. His greatest accomplishment has been raising his five children who have grown to be productive citizens and caring adults. Antonio Pérez, CRM, Client Relationship Manager
Antonio manages all of the digital records of TPI. He is responsible for updating and making sure that they are accurate. In addition he supervises all of the proprietary data bases that TPI carriers utilizes. Antonio is a hardworking first generation immigrant who graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a major in history in 2013. His pride and joy is being a father to his 6 year old son. His big why is to see his son graduate from college, pursuit a career, become a homeowner, and have financial security. Antonio connects with all of TPI single parents and knows the importance of having insurance to protect our families.
Juan Rangel, File Clerk
Juan has been with the agency since 1999 as a part time position. He has been with his full time position as a sheet metal worker for over 25 years. His role with the agency is to make sure the files are up to date and are all in order. Our agency, while automated still maintains a good ole fashion paper filing system. You’ll never have to worry if we lose power or have a system breakdown. There’s nothing better than paper in Juan’s eyes; that’s what helps pay for his extra curricular soccer activities. Juan is very involved with soccer and is the lead referee for the San Mateo Soccer League. He and his wife enjoy coaching various soccer teams and have 3 beautiful children who are now approaching college years. He is happy with our agency because all his kids get good student discounts on their car insurance!
Gabriella Van Steen, Bookkeeper
“Gaby” is our longest staff member. She started with the agency when we first opened the doors. She is our bookkeeper who works closely with Nabila on accounting issues. With her history and expertise with bookkeeping, she makes sure all the payables and receivables are issued on a timely basis. Through the years, Gabriella has had the opportunity to work within the office but now owns a home in Redding, CA while maintaining her remote office here in San Mateo. When she is not working on accounting issues and helping existing clients with Workers Compensation audits, she enjoys her grandchildren as well as arts & crafts in her small town. Not only does she have her personal insurance with us but she has her classic 1963 Ford Mustang insured through our Classic Auto Program.
